1941 incoming censored and returned postcard “Ansichtskarte unzulässig”, Königsberg – Reval/Tallinn

40.00

Incoming postcard, censored in Königsberg, where red marks “Ansichtskarte unzulässig” (“Postcards not allowed”) and “Ostland” were applied. The postcard did not pass censor and somewhere “Zurück” mark was added. Sending picture postcard was not allowed in the beginning of the German occupation as these could be used to pass secret codes. My study shows that most card with “Ansichtskarte unzulässig” mark were forwarded, only small part of these were returned to the sender, like this one.
