1941 Red Army field post “42 СТР. ПОЛК”, Paide – Kiviõli

“42 СТР. ПОЛК” was stationed in Paide, letters from this unit are scarce. Sender’s address P.O.Box 16, Paide was used for this unit.

The sender of the letter is Arnold Kaljurand. On 28.06.41 was forcefully mobilized to Russia, later deserted and was in German prison and released from captivity 09.11.41.  Later joined Finnish Boys, JR/200.
