Sender Arnold Kaljurand, sender address Põltsamaa, P.O.Box 150. This PO box was belonging to military unit of Red Army. Condition is mixed, the sender is historically interesting person and shows fate of many Estonian men in WWII.

The sender Arnold Kaljurand was serving in Estonian military unit incorporated to Red Army in 1940. In June 28, 1941 he like many others from these units was mobilized and was forced to leave to Russia. Likely deserted and captured by Germans in 1941, imprisoned by Germans (freed in November 1941). Served in German army. In February 1944 moved to Finland and served in Finnish JR200, fought on Russian front. In August 1944 “Finnish Boys” from JR200 returned to Estonia.
